Executive Director (Volunteer) - Communications & External Affairs Division (Virtual: US, Canada, Europe)

The International Council for Education Research and Training (ICERT) is seeking a visionary, highly collaborative leader to serve as the Executive Director of our Communications & External Affairs Division. This is a one-year, fully virtual volunteer leadership position (with the potential for extension).

Operating much like a pro-bono Public Relations (PR) & Outreach Officer, you will be the external face and voice of ICERT. You will spearhead our external communications, build partnerships with global academic institutions and grant-making organizations, and coordinate our speaker and host networks.

    • Speaker & Partner Coordination: Reach out to, secure, and coordinate higher education faculty, industry experts, and regional coordinators for ICERT's monthly conferences, seminars, and "Edutalks."
    • Partnership & Grants Outreach: Identify and initiate contact with potential grant-making organizations, research institutions, and academic partners.
    • Marketing & Social Media Strategy: Oversee ICERT’s digital presence, guiding the marketing strategy and social media outreach to grow our global audience of educators.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • * **Educational Background:** Minimum of a **Master's Degree** (current Ph.D./Ed.D. students, higher education faculty, corporate leaders, or retired academic/PR executives are highly encouraged to apply).

    • Location: Must be residing in the United States, Canada, or Europe.
    • Skills: Strong background in public relations, marketing, communications, or academic administration. Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Commitment: Fully remote, volunteer position requiring approximately 3-5 hours per week for a 1-year term.

What We Offer (Benefits of Volunteering):

  • * **Executive Leadership Experience:** Lead a vital division of an international academic council.

    • High-Level Networking: Build direct relationships with top-tier global university faculty, researchers, and grant organizations.
    • Professional Recognition: Official executive-level title on LinkedIn and the ICERT directory, letters of recommendation, and a formal certificate of appreciation recognizing your service.
