Pet Therapy Volunteers Wanted

Would you like to make an impact in someone's life? Commonwealth Hospice is currently looking for compassionate people and their four legged friends to help make a difference in our patient's lives. Being a volunteer in hospice is very satisfying and rewarding! Animals have a way of bringing out the best in all of us. Our patients love animals as well, and may not get many chances to have visits with them. With your help, we can bring joy and happiness to them with just a wag of the tail!

Requirements:

  • Certification in pet therapy (or at the minimum Canine Good Citizen certification from the American Kennel Club)
  • Vaccination history

Commonwealth Hospice services patients in many areas throughout the Pittsburgh area such as:

Greentree, Whitehall, Baldwin, Jefferson Hills, Bethel Park, Mt. Lebanon, McKees Rocks, West Mifflin, Pleasant Hills, McKeesport, Bellvue, McCandless, Gibsonia, Bridgeville, Upper St. Clair, Oakmont, Penn Hills, Allison Park, Oakdale, Robinson, Kennedy Township, and many more surrounding areas.

Giving the gift of time is one of the most precious gifts a person can give. If you are interested, please contact us at (412) 489-5893 or stasser@cwhospice.com.
