Marketing & Community Relations Manager Internship

We are seeking someone with an outgoing, willing, and self-driven personality to be our new Marketing and Community Relations Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess the skills needed to network locally, market to relevant communities, and seek out potential customers donors and sponsors for our free and donation-based events.

Our Marketing and Community Relations manager would work with our current social media and email marketing consultant to expand network growth and build our client list, as well as provide direct information to local businesses about class offerings, and seek sponsors and donors for our retreats and major public events.

Content creation is a possible side duty but not required for the position, though measuring metrics would be strongly preferred. Hire would have the chance to update and maintain Google and social media marketing campaigns to drive effective growth. Fundraising experience is also a plus.

This role offers the chance to build our charitable offerings and reshape the focus of our current organization in conjunction with the Board of Directors, with whom this hire would have direct ongoing communication and support.

While currently this is an internship position, pending success would provide the chance for this hire to develop into a higher executive role for the nonprofit, and potentially shift into a full leadership capacity. This is ideal for someone looking to be in the nonprofit sector and develop their capacity for leadership, as well as be a “face” for the charity.

Duties • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies across digital platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. • Conduct research to identify market trends, customer and donor needs, and competitive insights to inform campaign development. • Analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and other analytics platforms; adjust strategies based on data insights. • Manage fundraising efforts to maximize revenue/ sponsorship opportunities through strategic partnerships.

Skills • Proven expertise in SEO, social media marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, and performance marketing. • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Facebook Advertising, email marketing platforms, and marketing automation tools to assist current hire in maximizing capacity in this role. • Ability to develop compelling copywriting tailored for various funders across multiple channels. • Excellent research skills to stay ahead of industry trends and competitive landscape analysis. • Strong understanding of fundraising processes related to advertising sales and product promotion. • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data insights into actionable strategies for continuous improvement. • Ability to work cohesively with superiors, respect leadership, communicate thoroughly and promptly, be meticulous and organized, forward thinking, all within the framework of being of service.
