Smiling Faces Needed for Front Desk

Cancer Bridges offers a variety of free programs and services to support those impacted by cancer. We provide a warm and welcoming environment for everyone affected by cancer, including those diagnosed, their loved ones, and those who have experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer. Family, friends, and caregivers are all invited to join Cancer Bridges and access the social, emotional, and informational resources they need.

We are currently seeking volunteers to staff our front desk. Responsibilities include greeting members, assisting them with program navigation, answering phones, and performing other tasks around the building. Volunteers are required to commit to at least one shift per month, with shifts lasting 2-3 hours, depending on the volunteer’s availability. If you are interested in supporting those impacted by cancer, please reach out!

All volunteers must provide PA State clearances and attend a volunteer orientation. Cancer Bridges is located at 2816 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, and offers free parking to volunteers.

We are seeking volunteers for the following days and times: Most of these can be broken down into smaller increments like 12-3pm or 2-5pm and your shift doesn’t have to be every week, but we do like for the volunteers to commit to some kind of regular rotation though.

  • Tuesdays, 9am-12pm, (3rd, 5th week)
  • Wednesday, 12-5pm ( 3rd, 5th week)
  • Wednesdays, 3-5pm (1st , 2nd, & 4th week)
  • Thursdays, 2-5pm (1st, 4th and 5th weeks)
