UPMC hospital volunteer opportunity at UPMC Magee-Womens — Mammography volunteer program (MVPs). MVPs at Magee-Womens Hospital serve as liaisons between the patient and front desk staff.
Volunteers escort patients to changing areas and help those who request it. They also listen with empathy to concerned patients and answer any questions they may have.
Have you served in the military or are you currently serving? Because of your unique perspective, you will be able to comfort and share experiences with veteran patients. You can provide support, camraderie through visits, pinning ceremonies, or military holidays/rememberances. We have found that veteran to veteran visits have been supportive for all.
