South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM) serves South Hills suburban communities — including a substantial refugee population — with food assistance, after-school programs, community gardens, ESL, and case management. Named volunteer roles: After-School Tutor (K-5), Community Gardens, Box Truck Driver/Assistant, Food Delivery Drivers, Food Pantry Assistant, Homework Helper (middle/high school), CheckMates (weekly companion).
