Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Persad Center!
Volunteering at Persad is a great way to support our LGBTQ+ mental health and drug & alcohol services. We are so grateful for the time and energy that our volunteers offer.
The majority of our services are sensitive, and our clients' privacy is protected by HIPAA privacy laws, so volunteer opportunities for individuals and corporate groups are limited.
Volunteer opportunities are currently available for PERSADFEST, a free block party taking place in Persad's parking lot on Saturday, September 6 from 2-6 PM.
Responsibilities range from helping with set up, organizing during the event, and tear down after. Please indicate below what you would like to help with. Please note that this event will be outside.

| Breakthrough Collaborative
For more than 40 years, Breakthrough Collaborative has supported students from across the country, on their path to college – working with them during summers and through out-of-school programs. During a summer teaching residency with Breakthrough, you will gain valuable classroom experience and grow your leadership skills in a fun and supportive community. Receive 100+ hours of training and continued coaching from professional educators. Participate in a summer program with living stipend. Develop skills in presentation, public-speaking, collaboration, and leadership. Teach academic and enrichment classes at one of our affiliate sites. Learn classroom management, instructional strategies, and feedback techniques. Serve with a collaborative group of motivated students, undergraduates, and professionals in a hard-working and fun community. Further help on this page can be found by >).
