The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh's AgeWell program runs senior-focused volunteer roles at the Squirrel Hill and South Hills locations. Named roles: CheckMates (weekly telephone reassurance calls to older adults), J Cafe (lunch-service assistance Mon–Fri), Book Buddies (intergenerational reading with the Early Childhood Development Center), Social Club / Discussion Group Leader (hobby and conversation groups), and Technology Tutors (coach older adults on phones, tablets, and laptops).
