Volunteer with CHS Food Pantry — Pitt Community Partner

University of Pittsburgh community partner — volunteer with CHS Food Pantry. The Community Human Services (CHS) Food Pantry needs volunteers to assist during preparation and distribution each week. This involves sorting food (including overripe produce), stocking shelves, preparing the indoor market, and assisting families. It may include heaving lifting of up to 50 lbs, but it is not required. Customer service skills are important as volunteers may be assisting families directly. Understanding different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds is helpful.

Volunteers are needed on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays from 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. If interested in volunteering, please sign up online.

Pumpkin Unloading at the Sewickley UMC Pumpkin Patch

We need volunteers to help us unload the pumpkins from the truck and display them around our church lawn.
