The Jewish Association on Aging (JAA) operates senior-care campuses including Charles Morris Nursing & Rehab, Weinberg Terrace assisted living, and AgeWell at Home in Squirrel Hill. Volunteer roles span resident companionship, reading aloud, escorting residents, manicures, pet therapy, art/music/craft/exercise activity assistance, Russian and Yiddish translation services, the Generation-to-Generation (G2G) intergenerational program, 'Adopt a Grandparent,' letter writing, holiday and emergency assistance, sewing walker bags, knitting blankets, board-game partners (Scrabble, chess, mah jong), and clerical or mailing support.
