Our organization seeks to serve the kids of Crafton Heights and surrounding communities. One way to do that is by providing a safe space for completing homework! The "Homework Help" After School Program is open to kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We are looking for volunteers to be the "Help" for the students we see!
We are excited for our fall programs to begin, but since we just wrapped up a 6 week summer camp for 97 kids, we need to clean, organize, and reset! This is an opportunity best for teams of people who love to find order in the chaos and care about kids having safe spaces to learn, grow, and be loved!

Volunteers are needed to help tutor at the Community Intensive Supervision Program (CISP) in both their Penn Hills and Wilkinsburg location. You will have the opportunity to work with youth who have been impacted by the justice system, helping them with their homework assignments and encouraging their academic progress.

The Cellar is a year-round, non-academic hangout space for students in grades 9–12, located in the basement of First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh (320 Sixth Avenue, Downtown Pittsburgh – entrance on Sixth Avenue). Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF) is seeking volunteers with prior work experience with children ages 5-14 years old to work with our Mobile Learning Program. HCEF's Mobile Learning is an innovative program that brings regular, individualized tutoring sessions directly to unstably housed students.
