Jeff plays originals and familiar favorites Good Brother Earl is a Pittsburgh-based band blending rock, americana, and classic country. Since forming in 2000, they’ve released four albums and built a loyal following across Western PA and Northeast OH. Over the years they have performed from Boston and New York City to Nashville Memphis. Known for dynamic live shows, they’ve shared stages with acts like Maroon 5, Guster, Kansas, and The Avett Brothers. Their song “Lonely Heart” was featured in a national AMC commercial, and their music has appeared in independent films. The band’s sound is rooted in honest songwriting and strong musicianship, with members Jeff Schmutz (vocals, acoustic guitar), Skip Sanders (keyboards, guitar), Matthew Charles Heulitt (electric guitar), David Throckmorton (drums), and Dan Paolucci (bass).
