Bill Taylor and the Appalachian Heatherns: Ghost Town
It’s a celebration of music, community, and the stories that bring us together. Hosted by the band Smilo & the Ghost, Big Rail Brewing Company & Blue Moon Management. On the outskirts of Middlesboro, KY is where you will most likely hear the astounding voice of Bill Taylor on any given evening, while he’s outside enjoying nature with his family. Bill was born and raised in Middlesboro with his 4 siblings. His parents were blue-collar mountain people and gave Bill that “work hard for what you want” mindset. He always says “we were never rich, but daddy always made sure he gave us what we needed and we never did without”. Bill’s humble upbringing rings through in the writing that he does. His entire family is filled with truly gifted musicians, but Bill decided to step out into the spotlight with his gift and try to use what he says is his “God given ability”. In his very short music career, Bill has already seen a lot of success. He has played some highly respected venues and has opened for several highly respected artists. He crushed his first audition on America’s Got Talent with millions of views. As of recent, he is working on his debut album with Zach McCord (Charles Wesley Godwin). He has also just released his debut EP “The Cumberland Ave Sessions” that has been given some high praise and is starting to gain traction in the country music world. Bill and his band the Appalachian Heatherns are a group that you are going to want to pay attention to.
