Now That's What I Call A 90s Party!

Ends:
Velum Fermentation
TBD
Berries are delicious, nutritious, and unfortunately, highly perishable, with tons of them bruising, getting squished, or otherwise becoming unsellable before they ever reach grocery shelves. This summer, 412 Food Rescue teams up with Velum Fermentation to come to their rescue, upcycling nearly 10,000 pounds of strawberries and mixed berries for SAVED BY THE BERRY, a refreshing hard cider. They’ll launch the libation at Velum’s brewery in Pittsburgh’s Southside on Thursday, July 9, with a “Now That’s What I Call 90s!” party. Raising a toast to their berry cider, 412 Food Rescue and Velum’s “Now That’s What I Call 90s!” party on July 9, 6–9 p.m. at Velum Fermentation, will feature ’90s tunes, free pickleball on Velum’s courts, raffle baskets, and a best-dressed contest (winner gets a $50 Velum gift card and a case of beer or cider to take home). All tickets include two drinks (any drink on the menu). Ten percent of the proceeds from sales of the cider will support 412 Food Rescue’s work fighting food waste and food insecurity. • $20: volunteers & Carrot Club members • $25: early bird • $30: regular • $35: at the door
