OpenStreetsPGH (Strip District + Lawrenceville!)

Celebrate active transportation and community connection on over 3 miles of car-free streets on Sunday, July 26, 2026 in Pittsburgh's Strip District + Lawrenceville! Hosted by BikePGH, OpenStreetsPGH presented by UPMC Health Plan is a **FREE** community event that temporarily closes streets to car traffic and invites Pittsburghers to reimagine their streets as places for people, not just cars. Walk, bike, run, skate, dance, and enjoy the open road at your own pace. Jump into a free fitness class, learn how to bike, grab food from local vendors, and enjoy activities hosted by local organizations. 💧This is an outdoor event, rain or shine. Please stay hydrated! Bring a reusable water bottle – Water stations and first aid are located at each Activity Hub. ➤ ROUTE: openstreetspgh.org/routeOn Sunday, July 26th, OpenStreetsPGH connects the Strip District to Lawrenceville with 3+ miles of car-free streets. Cruise Smallman St through the heart of the Strip, packed with history, famous vendors, and high energy. Then roll up Butler St into Lawrenceville, where murals, local shops, and creativity take over. ➤ SCHEDULE: Free fitness classes, music, vendors, and activities at openstreetspgh.org/schedule ➤ GETTING HERE: openstreetspgh.org/getting-here ➤ GET INVOLVED: openstreetspgh.org/getinvolved -- This event series is organized by Bike Pittsburgh, a non-profit organization who works on behalf of the Pittsburgh community to transform our streets into vibrant, healthy places by making them safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk. Hundreds of cities around the globe celebrate open streets to promote car-free transportation, healthy outdoor activity, and community engagement using city streets.
