Downtown Pittsburgh’s Favorite Farmers Market Returns to Market Square!

The newly modernized   Market Square is ready to welcome the region back Downtown this summer. The  Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP)  is kicking off an active season of daily programming this Thursday with the return of the  Downtown Farmers Market , a beloved weekly staple for visitors, workers, and residents for over two decades.  WHAT : Farmers Market Opening Day  WHEN : Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  WHERE : Market Square, Downtown Pittsburgh  The Downtown Farmers Market returns for its 22nd season in the newly renovated Market Square. A longstanding tradition for the Downtown community, the rain-or-shine market will take place  Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through September 29 , featuring more than  30 local vendors  offering regionally grown produce, organic goods, small-batch foods, and artisan merchandise.  Opening Day is presented by  Pella Windows & Doors . A full list of vendors is available at:  https://downtownpittsburgh.com/farmers-market/.   Just Harvest  will also return for the season with its  Fresh Access program , enabling shoppers to use SNAP benefits, as well as credit and debit cards, to purchase fresh, locally grown food. SNAP participants will receive an additional $2 to spend on fruits and vegetables for every $5 spent.  Entertainment will be featured weekly. On May 14 and May 21,  Skate the Square   will operate during market hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. And a rotating lineup of local musicians will perform during subsequent weeks throughout the season. A schedule of performances will be posted on the website soon. Admission to the market is free, with garage parking available nearby at Third Avenue Garage; check  ParkPGH  for garage rates and availability.  More Seasonal Favorites Return to Market Square  The Farmers Market is part of a broader lineup of new and returning programming in Market Square, including free yoga, paint-and-sip classes, live lunchtime concerts, and more.
