We take the stage at 8pm, wrap by 9:45, and have you home by 10:30 — a great night that doesn't wreck your Friday. We don't play often, because our relationship is our process — and it's tumultuous. It's a small place, so only 100 tickets are available. When they're gone, they're gone. Evan Handyside is a minimalist fingerstyle guitarist and composer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He crafts contemplative, cinematic guitar pieces -- sparse fingerstyle wrapped in ambient space and subtle reverb, in the tradition of Gustavo Santaolalla, Max Richter, and Johann Johannsson. He is also the bassist for the atmospheric alt-rock band New Invisible Joy, which has shared stages with John Mayer, The Killers, The Strokes, and Nirvana's Krist Novoselic, among other national artists. Evan has taught guitar privately for over 30 years and composes for short films. His work has grown to more than 42,000 YouTube subscribers, 6 million views, and 20,000 monthly Spotify listeners -- built on a simple belief: that restraint, not complexity, is what gives music its weight.
