James Koan III is an upbeat, energetic singer/songwriter and musician with songwriting incorporating lyrical poetry combined with rock, pop-punk melodies, and folk-influenced sonic soundscapes, with an indie-rock edge pulling influences from artists such as Switchfoot, Relient K, The Beatles, and The Beach Boys. Formerly from Phoenix, Arizona, He is currently residing in Columbus, GA. His lyrical themes include dealing with loneliness, joy, finding his place in the world, and recognizing the beauty and wonder of the creator of the universe.
His Newest Record, "TIME" made its official debut on June 24th, 2022. Through a long process, James Koan III independently managed the assembly of 12 singles sharing pieces of his journey and the process of overcoming doubt, disappointment, and uncertainty. TIME is filled with jam-packed songs, including “You Are There“, "New Chapter", and "Neanderthals". His record also hits some highly reflective songs such as TIME, You Are There, And Here & Now (Found). James’ vision in his music is to speak truth to people in a loving manner. While the world is filled with doubt and darkness; in the midst of brokenness, his aim and hope is to bring a little bit of light.
