TBD
In this interactive 2-hour virtual workshop, participants will explore how narrative shapes understanding, influences behavior, and supports equitable public health practice. Drawing from communication, social sciences, the arts, and public health, this session introduces storytelling as a powerful method for problem solving, collaboration, and interdisciplinary innovation. This is not a passive webinar—participants will actively engage in the learning process. Together, participants will experiment with co-creating brief, data-informed stories grounded in real community experiences. By the end of the course, attendees will be better equipped to collaborate effectively and harness narrative as a tool for insight, advocacy, and population level impact. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this virtual workshop, participants will be able to: describe how narrative influences public understanding, shapes behavior, and supports more equitable public health practice;apply skills in active listening, cross-cultural communication, and collaborative problem-solving during breakout room discussions with peers; andco-create a brief, data informed story that integrates community experiences and public health concepts to support insight, advocacy, or impact. Registration closes on Monday, June 8, 2026 at noon.
