NP - Rail Trail Etiquette and Bicycle Riding in Groups

The essential course for families and friends to ride in groups on the 10,000 miles of rail trails here in Pennsylvania taught IAW PA Department of Transportation Publication 380 (4-26) (PA Bicycle Driver's Manual (https://www.pa.gov/content/dam/copapwp-pagov/en/penndot/documents/public/pubsforms/publications/pub%20380.pdf) ). Learn how to ride safely and with confident consideration of other trail riders. Course consists of hands-on instruction, review of applicable laws, rider safety, hand signaling, riding in a line, crossing danger areas, riding in traffic and trail etiquette. Prerequisites: Students must be able to start, stop, balance, pedal and turn on their own. Students must have their own bicycle and helmet. Water bottles are recommended.
