Zim is a Hip-Hop artist who hails from Northeastern Ohio who in just five years time has already shown and proven that he’s someone we’ll be talking about for years to come. Going against the grain, Zim isn’t looking for clout or to talk about the glitz and glamour of living “the rap life,” his expression comes right from the heart on his sleeve. Backed by dusty, thumping drums taken right out of the underground’s deepest tunnels, Zim’s art is tied directly to the soul of the human experience. On top of this, his work ethic’s got his output approaching a prolific level, not just on a solo level but the amount of features he’s done. As we hit the second quarter of 2026, Zim’s coming through with multiple projects, but let’s talk about how we arrived here first. While Zim didn’t start making and creating music until he was 21 years old, the Ohio artist always had a natural interest for English class. Growing up Zim was an athlete playing basketball & baseball, but eventually the upstart was introduced to the mixtape scene. After his brother showed him some underground artists paving their own way, Zim took the research and discovery into his own hands and the rest was history. “Realizing how some of the music I liked made me feel was a big contributor to why I got into making music,” Zim explains. The minute Zim put pen to paper, there was no turning back, moreover Zim is forever in the pursuit to become the best artist he can be. With years of practice under his belt and a genuine willingness to hone his skills, Zim is someone we’ll be listening to for years to come.
