MSJR: The Robindale Great American Banana Split Celebration 2026

We’re back!!! It’s such an honor to be invited back for a third year to The Great American Banana Sot Festival in Latrobe, PA. This year we are bringing a little different of a lineup with our Acoustic Trio featuring Jonny V, Bones, and Alex Stajduhar on Drums. Things are about to become Psychedelic on stage, as we play our original music alongside some fan favorite covers. We got the early spot on Sunday, so come one out. Double down by hitting our show later that afternoon in Ligonier at Forks Inn. MSJR is an unsigned band hailing from Westmoreland County, PA whose music is a captivating fusion of Reggae & Rock. Amid their first tour, MSJR has quickly grown from the open mic band they started as in 2023. They now share music from their new album, “Spread The Love” with people across the nation. Drawing inspiration from legends like Bob Marley, Sublime, Stick Figure, and Rebelution; MSJR's sound is a homage to the soulful vibrations of these iconic musicians. MSJR was founded by frontman, Jonathan Vanaskie, as a tribute to his friend, Michael Spade Jr., who passed away by suicide. All of the music is dedicated in memory of him. MSJR is involved in many communities across Pennsylvania, spreading awareness for suicide prevention and raising funds for multiple charities including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, SpeakUp ReachOut foundation, Veterans Bushido in Greensburg, The Brandon Nash Scholarship & local VFWs.
