Sorry for Interrupting

In 2016, I heard the best drummer of my life play a solo with the ingenuity of Max Roach. She played the drums beyond the batter head. A kit attacked from all sides with the stoic confidence to make it look rudimentary. She wasn't playing for any of us; she was playing for herself. Soon, we played together, and that sentiment carried over. And after recording thousands of demos of covers and riffs and melodies and ideas, we've created some songs.
