Join us for an evening of bluegrass as we wrap up the second year of Fisher Fiddle Camp! Come early and stay late for three great sets of music: 3 p.m. The Old Willow 5 p.m. Landline Bluegrass 7 p.m. Sweaty Already String Band This is a free event, but donations of any amount are encouraged for the bands! ** About the bands ** THE OLD WILLOW The Old Willow is a 4 piece bluegrass band with focus on traditional bluegrass fused with fast grass, mixed with popular tunes. LANDLINE BLUEGRASS Based in Pittsburgh, Landline is a five-piece string band that plays bluegrass and Appalachian-influenced music with rich harmonies and driving rhythms. SWEATY ALREADY STRING BAND Sweaty Already String Band is a Pittsburgh-based bluegrass band known for its energetic performances and love of traditional acoustic music. Blending hard-driving instrumentals with classic songs and close harmonies, the band delivers an authentic bluegrass sound with a few unexpected covers. Learn more at www.sweatyalreadystringband.com ** About Fisher Fiddle Camp ** In the tiny village of Fisher, Pennsylvania, some friends and fellow musicians have a band, and get together to play music together on a regular basis. One of them, Andy Kirby, had the bright idea that there was a need for more music and musicians in northwestern Pennsylvania. So, last year, with the help of his friends and some other musicians, the very first Fisher Fiddle Camp debuted. Folks who attended last year seemed to really love the experience, so we thought we’d try it again, in a new location-- hoping to turn it into an annual event! She continued her studies at Duquesne University under the tutelage of Jeffrey Turner, (Retired Principal Bass, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra).
