School Bus Mechanic

The Montour School District currently serves approximately 3,300 students in the western suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA.  At Montour, we are dedicated to putting children first and fostering academic excellence in a supportive environment.  Located in Robinson Township, PA, we are currently seeking a School Bus Mechanic in our Transportation Department. 

The School Bus Mechanic provides maintenance service for the safe operation of all District vehicles including District school buses, vans and trucks.   

The following duties are part of the School Bus Mechanic duties:

routine maintenance of District buses, vans and trucks minor bodywork advanced repairs

The School Bus Mechanic must have the ability to work with computer and handheld diagnostic equipment, as well as extensive knowledge of all facets of both air and hydraulic brake system.

Requirements:

PA State Inspection License CDL License with “P” endorsement, “S” endorsement, and airbrake restriction removed PA Act 34 Criminal History Clearance PA Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance PA Act 114 FBI Clearance

Work Shift:

Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM and 8:30AM - 5:00PM (Rotating) Monday - Friday, 5:30AM - 2:00PM (Seasonal)
