We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a respected public accounting firm. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing tax, accounting, and client advisory work while supporting a broad portfolio of businesses and individual clients. You will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, guiding compliance efforts, and contributing to a collaborative team environment with strong long-term growth potential.
Responsibilities
- Produce and examine financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable reporting standards.
- Handle core close activities by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Complete a range of tax filings for individuals and business entities, including partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
- Contribute to tax planning initiatives by developing projections, researching technical issues, and identifying practical solutions for clients.
- Participate in assurance-related work by assisting with audit, review, and compilation engagements for a variety of client accounts.
- Oversee multiple client assignments at once, maintaining quality standards while meeting established timelines and deliverables.
- Provide guidance to entry-level team members by reviewing workpapers, offering feedback, and supporting their career development.
- Work closely with clients, including small and mid-sized businesses, to address accounting questions and support ongoing financial compliance needs.
